Ginger Rabbit

Why we love them: If live jazz music, incredible drinks, delicious food, and a magical atmosphere sounds like something that would be up your alley, then drop what you’re doing and head to Ginger Rabbit. From the geniuses behind Chapman’s Eat Market, Ginger Rabbit is a one-of-a-kind nightlife spot. Visitors to Ginger Rabbit must be over 21.
What to try: You have to try some of the small plates at Ginger Rabbit, specifically the Conservas, which are tinned meats, with bread from Dan the Baker, served with salted butter, and Fyffe Family Farms greens.

The Dry Mill

Why we love them: The Dry Mill is a new sober bar. Launched by owners Colin and David, The Dry Mill offers the same social aspects of a typical bar, but without the alcohol. Customers can enjoy a large selction of mocktails, non-alcoholic beers, and delicious food.
What to try: Go for The Reuben. It’s Corned Beef, Swiss Cheese, Braised Cabbage & 1000 Island Dressing on Rye Bread. You can get it with regular fries, or you can increase your culinary delight by upgrading them to poutine fries.

The East Market

Why we love them: The East Market is the latest food hall to open in Columbus. Located in the Franklin Park neighborhood in the Trolley District, the East Market offers a ton of variety. Vendors include eateries, a small grocer, a plant store, a speakeasy, and so much more.
What to try: It’s so tough to choose just one place to eat at East Market. You should definitely try them all, but if you’re looking for somewhere to start, hit up Creole2Geaux, specifically ordering their seafood gumbo. The southern-inspired restaurant is serving up some New Orleans favorites along with fusion creations.

Why we love them: Maybe it’s the three years of high school French that I took, but I’m a big fan of all things France. That’s especially true when it comes to French pastries. No one does it better and thanks to Paris 75, we can treat ourselves to some Parisian-inspired goodies anytime we want.
What to try: Duh, macarons! But seriously, the macarons are what you want to order and the flavor choice is up to you because they’re all equally delicious.

What to try: The dark chocolate, pistachio, & toffee cookie is the perfect balance of flavors.

Why we love them: It’s always nice to have a healthier option downtown, and Rio Fresh Cafe is exactly that. With hand-crafted smoothies, acai bowls, and other breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, the menu is full of fresh, yummy flavors.
What to try: I’m a sucker for avocado toast. The dish at Rio Fresh Cafe consists of brioché bread topped with avocado, tomato, onion, feta cheese, and chia seeds.

High Bank Distillery

Why we love them: The newest addition to the High Bank Distillery family is their gorgeous new spot in Gahanna. The vibes are on point, the drinks divine, and the menu is absolutely superb. They’ve got a little bit of everything and all of it’s done well.
What to try: You’ve got to order the Southern boil, made with crawfish, andouille sausage, sweet corn, potatoes, spicy creole broth, cajun compound butter & garlic bread. YUM.
