OROVILLE – The Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley is holding a fundraising event to support career readiness programs at its two teen centers in Oroville. Barrels, Bites and Bounty will be held on Friday, June 10 at the Oroville Inn from 6-8 p.m. and will feature local food and beverage vendors competing for the “Best Bite” and “Best Barrel” awards.
The evening will include a sampling of 16 tastings from local food and beverage (wine, beer and cider) vendors, live music by Strung Nugget Gang and a raffle. Guests can purchase tickets online or there will be a limited amount at the door. Regular tickets are $20 each for 16 tastings or $30 for a VIP ticket, which comes with 10 raffle tickets and an extra tasting.
“Barrels, Bites and Bounty is an opportunity for the Oroville community and beyond to come support valuable career readiness programs for Oroville teens all while enjoying incredible local food and drinks. Some of our career readiness programs include internships at Old Navy in Chico, along with electrician, construction and welding camps,” said Hoppie Campos, Teen Services Area director.
