Drunk dad makes ‘vroom vroom’ sounds at McDonald’s drive-thru to get served

A hilarious clip of a 32-year-old has gone viral on TikTok after he made ‘vroom vroom’ noises at a McDonald’s drive-thru in an attempt to get served. The dad-of-one claimed he ‘identifies as a truck’ as he tried to get some grub.

Noticing that the fast-food chain was closed for walk-ins after a night out, Kevin OHara from Fife refused to give in. In the hilarious footage, you can hear him slurring his words as he tries to order a Big Mac.

The unimpressed worker told him over the speaker that he had to leave as it was a drive-thru only. However, still determined to get his food he then started to make revving sounds and claimed he was in a ‘pretend’ car.

Although the staff member was still unamused as he told Kevin they ‘don’t accept pretend cars’. Deciding to change his tactic, Kevin then hilariously told the worker he ‘identifies as a truck’.

Sadly, this still didn’t work on the worker who calmly replied ‘identify as whatever you want, but you’re not in a vehicle’. Despite his best and hilarious attempt, he had to stumble home for 90 minutes hungry.

Kevin shared the footage in his friends’ group chat before going to sleep at around 3am. Since then, the video has had over 300,000 views on TikTok.

Speaking about the night, the 32-year-old said he doesn’t regret his tequila-fuelled antics at all. He said that he find the video ‘hilarious’ but doesn’t blame the worker for not serving him, reports WalesOnline

A worker asked him to leave as he ‘has to be in a car’ to be served.

However, he said he thinks he deserved ‘some food and an Oscar’ for his ‘theatrical efforts’. He said: “When I was making the car noises I was just thinking ‘how can I convince this guy to give me a Big Mac?’. I was hungry. I had to convince him I was a truck.

“In this day and age with people saying they’re identifying as something they may or may not be, I thought ‘if I can tell this guy I’m a truck then maybe he’ll serve me’. I was out watching the Tyson Fury fight, then we went to a nightclub and a client of mine kept buying me tequilas and I don’t normally drink that.

“Sometimes it’s hard to get between a drunken person and food on the way home. I just gave their door a rattle, realised it was closed, then thought ‘how can I get served?’. It didn’t go to plan. I don’t blame [the member of staff], but if you’d have asked me on the night I was blaming him.

“He was only doing his job, but it was quiet and there was nobody there so he would have spent less time giving me a burger than he spent arguing about it. There’s a big thing in my industry about health and safety being ‘as far as reasonably practical’, and there was nobody there so I didn’t see a reason why he couldn’t serve me.

“I think he should have just come out and give me the food for my theatrical effort. He should have come out with a Big Mac and an Oscar. I’m surprised he didn’t bring out Will Smith to give me a slap. I didn’t expect the video to go on social media, but I’m glad it’s made people smile. People have messaged to say they’d been cheered up by it after a bad day.”

His wife, Lisa OHara, 38, was left embarrassed by the video which was filmed on the night of her birthday. His friend’s TikTok post has been liked more than 25,000 times and users were left in stitches at the bold attempt to be served.
