A person was fatally shot early Monday morning on Brady Street in Milwaukee, according to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Milwaukee police responded about 2:15 a.m. to a report of a shooting at Casablanca, the bar and restaurant at 728 E. Brady St., according to call logs.
Brady Street’s bars, restaurants and night life are a staple of the city’s east side.
The medical examiner also responded to four other homicides over the weekend and a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run. A 45-year-old woman was killed about 3:45 a.m. Monday at North 28th Street and West Atkinson Avenue, the medical examiner said in a tweet.
Milwaukee police as of Monday morning had not yet released any information about the Brady Street homicide or the pedestrian death.
