Taprock Beer Bar & Refuge is permanently closing later this month, according to a post on the Unionville restaurant’s Facebook page.
Taprock, located at 81 South Main St., Unionville, will close its doors for good after May 21, the owners announced on Facebook on Tuesday. The owners thanked the residents of Unionville for their hospitality since the restaurant opened in Nov. 2016.
“Sometimes even the best things must come to an end. As many people have already heard Taprock Beer Bar & Refuge will be closing its doors on May 21st. Our Taprock family has grown so much over the last 5+ years and we are so thankful for all of the support we have received from the community especially through these last two years. Aside from having the opportunity to serve great food, cocktails and the best beer lineup, we will never forget the friends made and laughs shared with so many,” the Facebook post reads.
The location may not remain vacant for long, though. According to documents from the town, Luis Vazquez went to the Farmington Planning and Zoning Commission on April 25 asking to change the ownership of the 81 South Main St. location from Taprock to his restaurant, Puente American Latino Pub.
His request was unanimously approved, according to minutes from the meeting, giving him the okay to prepare the opening of his new eatery.
